Dead Suns 031: Welcome to Ukalam Park!

Order-of-the-Amber-Die=Part-2

After spending days in the world of academia, tracking down leads, shopping, and packing the boys finally head out into Ukalam! Of course, the RFC boys land right into a big heap o’ trouble and might not make it out this time around.

Next, we sit down for part two of our interview with the Order of the Amber Die! The Order has been around since 1987 and has consisted of the same GM and active pool of between ten and fifteen players. To date, they have completed over 145 published adventures across five editions of the game and are currently working their way through The Ruins of Azlant Adventure Path. I get a chance to sit down with two of their members and find out what it’s like playing Pathfinder four days straight with little sleep and “total emersion”!

Finally, we’re giving away a free trip to PaizoCon 2018 and you can finally enter! Just head on over to the contest entry form and listen to hear if you won on May 1st.

Of course, we also announce another winner of the weekly $100 Amazon gift card giveaway! And don’t forget to become a supporter of the podcast at our Patreon page: https://www.patreon.com/rollforcombat where you can help us while unlocking fun exclusive rewards for yourself!

Dead Suns 010: Quid Pro Cronut

On the heels of accepting the job investigating the Acreon, both Astral Extractions and the Hardscrabble Collective reach out to the team to make their cases. Mo proves to be surprisingly receptive to a tasty donut and a compelling PowerPoint presentation, while a hot cup of coffee brings out Rusty’s fondness for the working man. Meanwhile, Tuttle never met a well-worded contract he didn’t like, and Hirogi looks for an opportunity to squeeze a few extra credits out of the situation.

We also continue our interview with Erik Mona, author, editor, and Publisher of Paizo Inc., creators of the Pathfinder and Starfinder Roleplaying Games. After wrapping up business with the Downside Kings, the boys enjoy a little rest, relaxation, the fruits of their labors – full membership in the Starfinder Society, leveling, and shopping. Soon after, a new lead emerges from an unexpected source – an undead ambassador to Absalom Station offers the group work as investigators in the mediation between Astral Extractions and the Hardscrabble Collective. Dead Suns 001: Greetings And Salutations

Note for new listeners: This episode acts an introduction episode to the characters, players, and Starfinder game setting. We don’t actually play the game much in this episode, it’s more of an overall introduction to the show and universe. If you wish to jump right into the action, we suggest that you start with Episode 2: Clowns to the Left of Me, Jokers to the Right instead. (Don’t worry, you won’t miss anything as we recap the first episode.)

In the first episode of Roll For Combat, we meet GM Stephen and our intrepid crew – the reptilian ruffian Mo Dupinsky; the trophy-hunting Lashunta Hirogi; the self-proclaimed brains of the operation, Tuttle Blacktail, and the uncomfortably good-looking Rusty Carter. We begin with introductions, chat about the new Starfinder universe, and then finally get to learn about Absalom Station and the Starfinder Society with our Very Special Guest Thurston Hillman from Paizo as our tour guide.
